Welcome
Welcome to the online home of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award group at Embassy, whether joining for the first time, or returning for the next stage of your award.
We will provide/arrange all the training required to achieve the award you are aiming for, but in doing so we require you to attend 90% of the Tuesday training evenings and both practice and final expeditions. Any Training sessions missed will need to be caught up on.
We do not believe that one year at Embassy DofE is sufficient to properly attain your gold award due to fitting in the required practices and adequate training around other commitments.
Costs
This years costs will be
- £25 for bronze & silver
- £30 for gold with your second season costing just £15
This covers your participant pack and contributes towards Embassy DofE expenses. You will need to pay again should you loose your participants pack. Embassy DofE is run by unpaid volunteers with minimal support from the Bournemouth Council Youth Service. Please respect the time given by these volunteers with your dedication and application to gaining your award.
We will be running slightly differently this year, you will each be allocated a mentor who will be a member of the DofE team with whom you can discuss your progress across all sections of the award. They will make themselves available to you from 19.00 to 19.15 weekly and you will have an email contact for them out of those times.
